About

Amanda Hankerson uses photography to explore history, legacy and identity within the context of American society. Hankerson draws inspiration from her seven years as a photographer at a museum where she photographed a large collection of art ranging from ancient to contemporary. She is a recipient of a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship, a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and was selected to attend Review Santa Fe in 2014. Amanda holds a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
